As a solo artist, James has been influenced by many old time folk and bluegrass singers. He has sought to keep that sound alive in his music while staying true to the faith he holds dear. His music can be described as a fresh look into an old style with a unique and unconventional approach. Prior to his solo work, James was involved with the Buffalo-based Christian band, Immanuel. With Immanuel, James had the privilege of playing at various venues and festivals, including opening for Marc Scibilia as well as John Schlitt and Bob Hartman from the Christian rock group, Petra. Outside of music, James is married and has two beautiful children. He enjoys white Christmases, a good joke, plenty of coffee, and bacon on just about everything.
